We don’t do a whole lot of custom development just for fun but every now and then one of us will get that programming “itch”.  This page outlines the itches that have turned into coding projects underway at DBS.  All projects are free for download and use.  If you like them we just ask that you follow us on Twitter or connect with us on Facebook so you can stay up to date with project updates and new releases.  Enjoy!

 

Google Analytics for Cart66

Since we began playing with Cart66 we’ve been really impressed with its potential; however, it’s currently lacking support for the E-Commerce functionality of Google Analytics.  In our opinion this is a travesty, as any e-commerce site should offer goal and conversion tracking.  We like the guys over at Cart66 so we’ve decided to program our own Google Analytics plugin.

So far we’ve completed the source code and it tests successfully with WordPress 3.1.2 and Cart66 1.0.7.  We’ll soon package it as a separate plugin but for now you’ll have to manually alter your MySQL tables and replace some files as specified in the Readme.  This shouldn’t take more than 5 or 10 minutes for an intermediate web developer but if you read through the documentation and are still worried about how to proceed please e-mail us and we’ll help you out.  Otherwise, enjoy the plugin and please send us feedback!

***Update – since our release of the Google Analytics plugin for Cart66 another user has created an updated plugin compatible with Cart66 version 1.1.1.4.  Please download the latest version of the file here:  https://github.com/noeltock/Google-Analytics-for-Cart66
